An export through the desktop save panel kept any typed extension
that names a known format, whatever format it wrote. Export As with
PNG chosen and card.svg typed wrote PNG data to card.svg, and Save as
PDF, Save for Office Documents, Text Export Options, Export Library
and the other writes that go through pick_path did the same.
document.exportSelection with a format suggested and added .png
whatever the format.
Such an extension is now replaced with the written format's, as Save
As has done since #3372: card.svg is written as card.png. An extension
of the written format stays as typed in any letter case (photo.JPEG
for JPEG), Export As SVG (and file.exportAs, file.export.svg) keeps
art.svgz and writes it compressed, and document.exportSelection
without a format still writes the format the typed extension names.
With a format, it suggests and adds that format's extension.

File › Package… read every linked file and font and wrote the package
on the UI thread, so the window stopped responding until the package
was written. For a document that links 50 images of 21 MB each, OK
with Background Export off, which does the same work, takes a median
of 2.25 s in a release build on Windows.
With Enable Background Export on (Preferences › File Handling), OK now
takes the options, the report's Document Info text and a snapshot of
the document, and closes the dialog. The thread that writes background
saves and exports then collects the links and fonts and writes the
package. The same OK takes 0.001 s, and the package holds the same
bytes. A save of unsaved changes that Package starts is written first.
With the preference off, on the web and over MCP and scripts, the
package is made at once with the same reply as before.

With the Artboard tool, Paste and Paste in Place select the pasted
artboards, Cut gives the tool the artboard before the first cut one
(the new first artboard when artboard 1 is cut), and tool.setOption
sets its selected or active artboard. The active artboard, the view's,
stayed where it was, so the navigator showed another artboard than the
tool and the Artboards panel. document.activate and File › Revert
started the tool on artboard 1, while choosing a document's tab starts
it on that document's active artboard.
After a command that changes the artboards the Artboard tool has
selected, the app now makes the tool's active artboard the active one,
as a click with the tool does. After a command that chooses another
document, and after Revert, the tool starts on the document's active
artboard.

Exporting a CMYK document to PDF/X-1a or PDF/X-3 flattens transparency
first. Where the flattener has no single colour (an image with see-through
pixels over a flat fill, gradients, masks, raster effects) it renders the
area into an image, and that image was always an RGB PNG. The PDF writer
then separated it back to CMYK, so CMYK art behind the image came back with
other inks: a C100 M6 Y41 K3 panel printed C75 M14 Y35 K5 under a
transparent logo, with a hard edge against the rest of the panel, and K
moved into C, M and Y.
For files without transparency the flattener's images are opaque and
clipped to their regions anyway, so in a CMYK document it now draws them
as ink amounts over the paper (Renderer::render_region_inks) and stores a
CMYK TIFF, which the PDF writer keeps as DeviceCMYK samples. An area too
large for a CMYK image falls back to the PNG it made before. In-app
Flatten Transparency and other flattening, whose images keep alpha, are
unchanged.
Test: tests_pdfx::pdfx_1a_flattening_keeps_the_inks_behind_an_image_in_a_cmyk_document
exports a CMYK panel under a half see-through PNG to PDF/X-1a, opens the
file again and checks the inks behind the see-through half.

Exercise Selection-tool busy state before takeover and verify it is idle after tab activation, drop, Escape and outside release. Session::set_active already reconstructs the tool via reset_tool_for_doc_switch, so the reported missing-Up busy state does not reproduce and no additional synthetic release is needed.
Narrow documentation to the internal clipboard asserted by the regressions and correct the stationary-pointer sentence. All 10 cargo xtask ci gates pass.
With the Artboard tool, a Ctrl/Cmd double-click on the name of an
artboard that was not selected added it with the first click and took
it out again with the second, so the name field renamed that artboard
alone. The panel menu's Rename opened the field on the active artboard
even when it was not selected. Paste with the Artboard tool leaves it
outside the selection: it selects the pasted artboards and keeps the
active one. Rename then renamed the active artboard alone.
The second click of a Ctrl/Cmd double-click now leaves the row's
artboard selected, and the field renames the selection with it. A
Ctrl/Cmd double-click on a selected row works as before. When the
active artboard is selected, Rename opens the field on its row;
otherwise Rename opens the field on the first selected row.

path.create read closed only when it drew from anchors. Given path
data, {"d": "M0 0 L10 0 L10 10", "closed": "true"} drew the path and
recorded an undo step, while the same closed with anchors fails with
"`closed` must be true or false". shape.rectangularGrid and
shape.polarGrid read rows, columns, concentric and radial given as text
as the count left out, so {"rows": "3"} drew the default 5 horizontal
dividers instead of 3.
path.create now checks closed before it reads d or anchors, and the
grid commands refuse such a count with "`rows` must be a number, not
"3"". Neither command changes the document or its undo history then.
With d, a closed of true, false or null still leaves the path as its
path data draws it.

Add the three Turkish catalog entries requested by the maintainer on #3479. Preserve upstream catalog additions and place existing tab-drag entries beside stable menu labels to avoid append conflicts. Update feature progress notes for all 24 catalogs.
Simplify an equivalent Effect Gallery selection predicate required by the Rust 1.95 clippy gate. Full cargo xtask ci passed all 10 checks, including tab-drag regressions and wasm.
object.transformEach refused reflectX, reflectY, random and copy given
as text, but read strokes, corners, objects and patterns given as text
as the key left out. With Scale Strokes & Effects on,
{"scaleH": 200, "scaleV": 200, "strokes": "false"} scaled the stroke,
recorded an undo step and kept the params for Transform Again, which
repeated the call. artboard.rearrange, artboard.move and
artboard.duplicate read their patterns option the same way, and
artboard.setProps reads its patterns, strokes and corners options the
same way.
These commands now refuse such a value with "`<key>` must be true or
false" before they change anything. So do the other options and
numbers of artboard.setProps and artboard.move, the art of Duplicate,
Copy and Cut Artboard, the shape commands and path.create, path.close,
path.setHandle, path.moveAnchors, the Pencil, Curvature, Reshape
Segment and Blob Brush options, text.create, text.createInPath,
text.setRangeStyle, text.editRange, text.getRange, text.touchType,
text.areaOptions, type.step, the font size steps,
type.opticalMarginAlignment, type.systemLayout, type.fractionalWidths,
type.ruby, the symbol and swatch commands, the Appearance panel's
commands, the gradient and freeform gradient commands, Shape Builder,
Live Paint, Image Trace, the opacity of object.setProps, the radius,
sides and relativeRadii of object.setLiveShape, the reference point of
object.setBounds and the artboard of Align, Distribute and Distribute
Spacing. They refuse a number given as text with "`<key>` must be a
number, not <value>", and a gradient stop's tint with "stop <n>:
`tint` must be a number". A null still reads as the key left out.

On Linux and the BSDs, where the save dialog reports the file type
picked in it, a name that still ends in the suggested name's extension
gets the picked type's extension. The comparison was case-sensitive,
so Untitled-1.VECTORCRAFT with "PDF-compatible .ai" picked was saved
as a native file named Untitled-1.VECTORCRAFT instead of Untitled-1.ai.
with_picked_type now compares the lower-case extensions that
fileio::extension gives. A name typed with the picked type's own
extension in another case (a.AI with .ai picked) stays as typed.
This follows up #3372.

Activate visible tabs after a delayed Selection drag and copy artwork through a document-scoped command without changing the clipboard or source. Cancel stale transfers, preserve pattern alignment and transparency, and insert into the editable destination context. Cover pointer gestures, resource rendering, input bounds and locked layers; translate the new labels and messages.
A workspace remembers the changes made in it: switching away keeps them
(UiState::workspace_changes, kept with the preferences), switching back
restores them, and Reset <name> returns to the saved layout. Saving a
workspace starts it with no changes; renaming keeps them, deleting drops
them, and deleting the current workspace shows Essentials as it was
left. Saved preferences recover a damaged remembered layout instead of
losing the whole file.

## Summary
Aligns parity checklists with shipped View › Snap to Glyph behaviour (#3124):
when Smart Guides are on, drawing tools snap to live-text baselines and glyph
bounds via `view.snapToGlyph`. Adds a headless test that `view.snapToGlyph`
toggles the UI view flag like Illustrator’s menu item.
## Tests
- `vectorcraft-ui-egui`: `snap_to_glyph_menu_command_toggles_the_view_flag`
- Existing `tools::text_tests::snap_to_glyph_lines_up_new_point_type_with_a_baseline`

A filter could reshape and repaint objects, but not set the stroke's
join, cap or miter limit, nor the effects an object's appearance holds.
A tool that prepares objects for a live effect (a sheet of samples,
each with the effect at its own settings) had to leave the user to
apply the effect to each object by hand.
- Each input stroke has its join, cap and miterLimit beside its paint
and width (live effects get the same, through the shared encoder),
and each object its own effect records, {id, params, visible}.
- An output stroke may set them (miter limit clamped to 1-500), and an
output object's "effects" replaces its own effects.
- The host admits each record as effect.apply does: an effect that
effect.list lists or an installed live-effect plug-in, parameters it
takes (filled in to their defaults; a plug-in's checked against its
manifest), one 3D effect that fits the object (its fills' and
strokes' own effects counted), and the texture of an effect with
Load Texture (Glass, Texturizer) as the effect stores it, never a
file to read. A record the object already had stays as
it is, so a filter that hands its input back changes nothing. One
refused record refuses the whole output and the document stays as
it was.
The plug-ins crate checks the records' form; which effects exist is the
engine's to say (objects::AdmitEffects, engine plugin::admit_effects).
effects::validate_three_d is the one check of whether a 3D effect fits
an object, for effect.apply, effect.setParams and the filters.
A path handed back as it was now stays the live shape it was: write()
dropped a live rectangle's or ellipse's parameters whenever the output
held a path, changed or not, so a filter that returned its input
turned a live rectangle into a plain path.
objects/tests.rs checks the round trip, stroke styles on existing and
new strokes, the host's refusal, the bad forms refused, and a live
rectangle handed back unchanged (a plain path before the fix);
tests_plugins.rs runs filters that set a built-in and a plug-in effect,
an echo that changes nothing, and six refused outputs.
CRAFT_PLUGIN_FRAME_WASM=<folder> saves a test filter to try in the app.

Glyphs placed one by one with even gaps could be letters set apart or
words of one letter each, and a file's positions can't tell them apart.
The spacing a line's letters share is now taken off its gaps only when
the line also shows where its words break: with spaces it draws (as
with Tc), or with gaps wider than the rest (tracked words placed glyph
by glyph). Otherwise every gap past a fifth of an em is a space, as
before, so A, B, C and D placed with ordinary word spaces between them
still come in as "A B C D".

Document Info had no Repeat Objects category, and document.info
refused category "repeats". The reference app's Document Info panel
menu lists Repeat Objects after Font Details.
Document Info now has a Repeat Objects category after Embedded Images.
It lists each radial, grid and mirror Repeat object by name with its
kind and the number of instances it makes. For a grid it gives the
rows and columns instead, followed by the number of instances it
draws when that is fewer. The count comes from the new
RepeatSpec::instances, which gives the number of instances a repeat
draws. That number is smaller than its options give when repeats
nested in its source would pass the instance budget. With Selection
Only the category lists the Repeat objects in the selection.
document.info gives them as repeatObjects, the panel's flyout offers
the category, and the text report that Document Info › Save… and
File › Package write has a REPEAT OBJECTS section. The title has a row
in every catalog.

With one clip group selected, the Properties panel has Edit Clipping
Path and Edit Contents at its top, under the Clip Group heading, as the
reference app does: "With the clip group selected, click the Edit
Clipping Path button at the top of the Properties panel to select and
edit the mask, or click the Edit Contents button to select and edit the
masked content"
(https://www.adobe.com/learn/illustrator/web/crop-using-masks). They
run the existing object.clippingMask.editMask and editContents, which
select the clipping path or the clipped art for the selection tools, as
Object > Clipping Mask does. Edit Contents shows only when the group
clips something. With several objects selected they don't show (the
tutorial describes one selected clip group); the Contextual Task Bar
does the same. Both labels are already in every catalog.
Test: panels::properties::tests::one_clip_group_has_edit_clipping_path_and_edit_contents_at_the_top
(first under the heading, each selecting its part; Edit Clipping Path
alone once the clipped art is deleted; neither for a clip group
selected with another object in either order, or for a plain group).

Rows two PRs of the batch both changed came out twice in localization-parity, target-app-parity and type-parity; the newest of each is kept. prefs_dialog.rs is formatted.
A Word paragraph justified with w:jc lowKashida, mediumKashida or
highKashida placed as plain justified type, and its kashida length was
dropped. ECMA-376 Part 1, 17.18.44 (ST_Jc) gives these values a
slightly longer, a medium and the widest kashida length.
Such a paragraph now places justified with Insert Kashidas set to
Short, Medium or Long. A paragraph justified with both, and every other
alignment, still places with Insert Kashidas set to None. VectorCraft
writes no Word or RTF files, so this change does not affect export.
Docs: docs/mcp.md, docs/target-app-parity.md.
A click on the Tabs panel's ruler added a stop, and a drag moved one,
at the fraction of a point under the pointer. The reference app's Tabs
page says that the tab ruler does not set stops in increments smaller
than 1, and that the X or Y field sets them as finely as 0.01 point.
The page does not name the unit of 1. The ruler here uses 1 point, the
unit the page gives for the X or Y field, in every General unit.
With Snap to Unit off and Shift not held, a stop placed or dragged on
the ruler now lands on the nearest whole point. With Snap to Unit on,
or Shift held, it still lands on the ruler's nearest tick, which on a
millimeter ruler is a fraction of a point. A position typed in the X
or Y field keeps its hundredths of a point.

The PDF writer's metadata has no copyright fields, so the XMP packet of
PDF exports and PDF-compatible .ai and .ait saves left out File Info's
copyright status, notice and URL. A PDF exported without its editing
data opened with the status Unknown and an empty notice and URL,
although the reader takes them from dc:rights, xmpRights:WebStatement
and xmpRights:Marked.
The export now adds those three properties to the XMP packet after
the writer has written it, as it does for the modification date.
Marked is True for Copyrighted and False for Public Domain, and is left
out for Unknown. The notice and URL are escaped for XML, and characters
XML 1.0 does not allow are left out. A document without a copyright
gets none of the properties.

The Print dialog's Media list only had Letter/Legal/Tabloid and the ISO A
and B papers, so Japanese papers had to be entered as a custom size, and
"B4"/"B5" were ISO 216 (250 × 353 and 176 × 250 mm) although Japanese
printing uses the JIS sizes (257 × 364 and 182 × 257 mm, JIS X 6310).
Media gains JIS B4, B5 and B6 next to the ISO ones, and はがき
(japanese postcard, 100 × 148 mm), 往復はがき (japanese double postcard,
148 × 200 mm), 封筒 長形3号/長形4号 (japanese envelope #3/#4, 120 × 235
and 90 × 225 mm), 角形2号/角形3号 (kaku #2/#3, 240 × 332 and 216 × 277 mm),
四六判 (yonroku-ban, 127 × 188 mm) and A6, all in millimetres at 72/25.4.
b4 and b5 keep their ISO 216 dimensions so print settings and presets
saved before the Japanese papers existed keep their paper; the dialog
labels say "B4 (ISO)"/"B5 (ISO)" beside "B4 (JIS)"/"B5 (JIS)".
A paper is named by its JSON id or by its dialog label, any case and
spacing ("b5 (jis)", "B5 (JIS)" and "b5jis" all mean the JIS B5), so
agents and the control channel need not know the id spelling; an unknown
name is still refused. Media is written out instead of through the
choice! macro to carry that lookup.
The print.setup/file.print parameter docs and docs/mcp.md list the new
papers; the Print dialog picks them up from Choice::ALL with no UI code
change, and the Japanese labels are translated in ja.tsv (はがき,
往復はがき, 長形3号, 長形4号, 角形2号, 角形3号, 四六判).
Tests: japanese_paper_sizes checks every added size in points, that the
ISO B4/B5 values did not change, name resolution and id/label round
trips, and that each paper prints a PDF page with its own MediaBox size.
Validation: cargo fmt --all -- --check clean; cargo clippy
-p vectorcraft-pdf --all-targets -- -D warnings clean; cargo test
-p vectorcraft-pdf -> 330 passed, 0 failed (328 lib + 2 integration).
PDF import read every gap wider than a fifth of an em between two
glyphs as a space. Letter-spaced type (Tc, or glyphs placed one by one
with tracking) has such a gap between every pair of letters, so
"OPEN DAILY" came in as "O P E N D A I L Y".
A line now records every gap between its glyphs and decides which are
spaces when it finishes: the spacing its letters share (the gap a third
of the way up from the narrowest, when the line has three or more) is
taken off each gap first. That shared spacing is at most half an em, so
glyphs set wider apart, such as figures in columns, keep their spaces.
Right-to-left lines and glyphs along a curve read their gaps as before.
