### Synchronize Folder
- Right-click a folder (or a disk other than the startup disk) in the sidebar's Folders section ▸ Synchronize
Folder…. The folder and the folders inside it are scanned in the background for photos added on disk, photos whose
file is gone, and XMP sidecars changed by other apps; then choose what to do: import the new photos (the default),
move the missing ones to Recently Deleted, read the metadata updates. Everything is one undo step, and no file on
disk is touched. Agents use `folder.scanChanges` and `folder.synchronize`.
