M8: SVG import reads color() and color-mix() colours (#1550) (#1566)

The SVG parser reads neither, so fills came in black and strokes were dropped without a note. They are resolved before parsing: color(srgb|display-p3 ...) converted to the document's profile, color-mix(in srgb|oklab|oklch, ...) evaluated as CSS Color 5 defines it. Other spaces are approximated with a note; unreadable calls become a mid grey with a note. Bounded length, nesting and count.

//! CSS colour functions usvg doesn't read, resolved before it parses the document (it would paint

| 2026-10-30 | minor | M8, #1550: SVG import reads CSS colour functions its SVG parser doesn't (it painted them black, or left strokes out, without a word): `color(srgb …)` and `color(display-p3 …)`, with alpha, converted to the document's profile, and `color-mix(in srgb|oklab|oklch, …)`, evaluated at import (percentages, alpha and nested mixes as CSS Color 5 has them), in colour attributes, `style` attributes and `<style>` sheets. Other colour spaces are taken as sRGB values and other mixes mixed in sRGB, each with an import note; a call that can't be read becomes a mid grey with a note. Bounded: calls over 2,048 characters, mixes nested more than 8 deep and more than 100,000 calls are not read. Tests: `css_color_tests` (svg). Numbers unchanged |
| 2026-10-29 | minor | M8, #1080: SVG import draws a pattern's tile once per pattern and scale and reuses it for every other layer it fills (1,000 rectangles filled with one pattern: 1,000 tile drawings before, 1 now, same image fill), and the layers inside a tile count in the import's 100,000-layer budget instead of each tile starting a fresh one, so patterns nested in patterns stop at the budget. Tests: `tile_tests` (svg). Numbers unchanged |
| 2026-10-29 | patch | M8: the progressive JPEG check from #1491 (a frame sampling a component more finely than its first, which the JPEG decoder asserts on, and in the browser a panic aborts the page) moved to `figcraft_format::jpeg` and now also guards the pictures files carry (`thumbnail::decode_thumbnail`: the home screen and recent files), so a crafted `.figcraft`, `.fig` or `.sketch` thumbnail or image file shows no picture instead of crashing. The canvas, exports and SVG/PDF keep it through the renderer. Regression tests in `jpeg_tests` (format) and `jpeg_sampling_tests` (render). Numbers unchanged |
