EffectCraft is a free, open-source app for animated titles, motion graphics and compositing. It is an alternative to Adobe After Effects.
|
|
|
|
You build a composition from layers (solids, shapes, text, footage, other compositions), animate their properties with keyframes, add effects and render the result. The panels and shortcuts follow After Effects: Project, Composition, Timeline, Effect Controls, Effects & Presets and the Render Queue. It runs on macOS, Windows and Linux, and in the browser.

EffectCraft is young and in alpha. It cannot open After Effects projects (`.aep`), and some things still behave differently from After Effects. See [Can EffectCraft open After Effects projects?](faq/after-effects-projects.md).
