Word 2013 and later fit more text on a justified line by shrinking its spaces by up to 20% of their width, so long justified paragraphs broke differently in WordCraft (a one-page test document's summary took 8 lines instead of Word's 7). Lines that only fit with shrunk spaces now get them, the last line of a paragraph included; lines with tabs never shrink. The behaviour depends on the document's compatibility mode, which is now read from settings.xml (w:compatSetting compatibilityMode), kept in Settings::compat_mode and written back, so saving an older file no longer silently upgrades it to mode 15. A .docx that names no mode is treated as Word 2007 (12); new documents are 15.
