MacOS window close (#539)

* MacOS window close

The red close button was aborting inside AppKit. The close button now cancels that in-loop window drop, saves preferences, and quits on the next turn of the main queue the same way Command-Q does.

* Review fixes for #539: remove the control key file before the macOS quit

Merge main. The new close path quits through terminate:/exit, which skips
on_exit, so it now removes the control key file as on_exit does (prefs were
already saved). Clippy-checked for aarch64-apple-darwin.
