dotCooCoo 1e3886c053 Document Raster Effects Settings: a file's resolution outside 1 to 2400 ppi opens in range
document.rasterEffectsSettings accepts a resolution from 1 to 2,400
ppi, but a file's raster_effects_ppi opened as it was saved. With 0,
-5 or 5000 in the file, object.rasterize without a ppi param failed
with "ppi must be between 1 and 2400", and document.rasterEffectsSettings
and document.info reported the stored value. With 0 or -5, EPS and
PDF export wrote a freeform gradient as a 1 x 1 px image, and EMF
export wrote every gradient as one. A saved New Document preset in the
preferences kept such a value too.

A file's or a saved preset's resolution outside 1 to 2,400 ppi is now
read as the nearer end of that range. Documents with a resolution in
range open as before.

Docs: docs/mcp.md (resolution, rasterEffectsPpi).

dotCooCoo 3d2e8bbe82 PDF export: Add Around is clamped when a file opens, and art too large for f64 gets no effect image
document.rasterEffectsSettings accepts addAround from 0 to 1,000 pt,
but a file's raster_effects.addAround opened as it was saved. With
addAround 1e300, the area of a raster effect image overflowed f64,
the image scale became 0 and the image got the transform
[inf, NaN, NaN, inf, x, y]. PDF export left that image out, so the
drop shadow was missing.

A file's addAround now opens clamped to 0 to 1,000 pt. An effect
image whose area or scale is not finite is not made. Export then
keeps the object with its effects, and Expand Appearance expands it
without an image, as when its PNG can't be encoded.

Docs: docs/mcp.md (addAround).

dotCooCoo fa46998006 Effects: Effect › Rasterize draws an object as pixels while its paths stay editable
The Effect menu had no Rasterize. Object › Rasterize replaces the
object with an image, so its paths can no longer be edited.

Effect › Rasterize… (`rasterize`) is a live effect with Object ›
Rasterize's options: color model, resolution (the document's raster
effects resolution by default), white or transparent background,
anti-aliasing, Create Clipping Mask and Add Around Object. The canvas
draws the object as square pixels over its bounds, and its paths, type
and other art stay as they are. The effects above it in the stack,
shadows included, are part of its image, and shadows below it are cast
by the image. When Rasterize is an object's only raster effect, Expand
Appearance and PDF and SVG export give the image Object › Rasterize
gives with the same options.

Object › Rasterize now measures the art as drawn, with its geometry
effects, brush art and raster effects, so a Transform effect that moves
the art no longer leaves the image empty. Its Create Clipping Mask
clips the image to the art as drawn. The canvas no longer panics
drawing a pixel effect such as Gaussian Blur on an object about 65,500
screen pixels wide: the raster of such an object is at most 32,768
pixels a side, and the object is drawn into it at a lower resolution.

bflatasticandClaude Opus 5.5 94f0f1b0d2 M4.56: Document Raster Effects Settings with colour model, background, anti-alias, clipping mask and room around
document.rasterEffectsSettings now also takes and reports colorModel,
background, antiAlias, clippingMask, addAround and preserveSpotColors in one
undo step (Document.raster_effects, RasterEffectsSettings, next to the
existing raster_effects_ppi so old files load unchanged). The raster effect
images of PDF export and Expand Appearance get the extra room and are
finished by the settings (hard edges, grayscale or bitmap, opaque on
white, white only under the art with a clipping mask). Rasterize takes
them as defaults (params override), and its clipping mask puts the image
in a clip group with the art's outline. The settings have their own dialog
(rasterEffectsSettings, ui.rasterEffectsSettingsDialog) and Rasterize…
opens its options prefilled from them.
