Address CodeRabbit review: dropping the Autosaver joins its worker, which waits
for the write in progress, so a timed-out receive could still hold the test
until nextest kills it. The saver is now ManuallyDrop and only dropped on the
passing path. With a worker that sleeps 60 s per write and a 2 s bound, the
test fails after 2.01 s.
