Conflict in crates/engine/src/filters.rs: main made keep_alpha pub(crate) for the
plug-in runner (#6770); kept the PR's parallel, cancellable keep_alpha with that
visibility, and the plug-in caller now passes a never-cancelled check and propagates
the Result.
