A test now covers what qualifies and what doesn't: an ICC profile of one component and a DeviceN of one colourant convert, three components and two colourants (more than a bit a pixel) don't; an image mask converts with /BitsPerComponent 1 given, not with 8; an image of exactly 80 million pixels converts, one row more doesn't. The byte totals are checked exactly. Each of those rules could be broken before with no test failing (cargo mutants). one_component's comment now says /G counts with DeviceGray, as the code does.
