A chip was a frame laid out in what was left of its line: one that didn't fit wrapped its own text, down to a letter a line, and pushed its × to the next line. A chip is now one widget measured before it is placed (its name cut short to fit the row), so the row moves it whole to the next line; the Will Export names alike.
