Expansion was a fill plus a stroke 2·|expansion| wide, blended per pixel. Once the
expansion passed the shape's curvature radius the stroke's inner edge inverted: a
20 px circle expanded by 60 left a ring with the layer showing through the middle,
+600 cut only the original dot, and negative values left islands. The outline is
now offset with Offset Paths' geometry (round joins) and filled.

cargo +1.95 clippy --workspace --all-targets --release -- -D warnings
stopped on seven `if` blocks that clippy wants folded into their match
arm (psd, text, effects x2, pdf x2, render). Each becomes a match guard.
The behaviour is unchanged: when a guard is false the value falls through
to arms that can't match it and then to `_ => {}`. The one exception is
the PDF PostScript calculator, where a `{` past the nesting limit would
fall through to the operator arm; it keeps its own no-op arm, so it is
still skipped rather than pushed as an operator.
While a mask was being drawn with the Pen, its open path was filled as
if closed, so the layer went black except inside the points placed so
far, which made rotoscoping by eye impossible. As in After Effects, an
open mask makes no transparency: the layer shows whole until the path
is closed. Effects that take a mask as a path (Stroke and the others)
still get open masks.
Test: open_masks_make_no_transparency (render).

`Renderer::mb_on` (render options × the comp's switch × the layer's switch as the precomp
layers above limit it) now decides everywhere:
- Mask motion blur checked only the comp's switch and the layer's own switch, so Render
Settings ▸ Motion Blur ▸ Off for All Layers and a precomp layer with motion blur off still
blurred masks; it now takes the gate (`masks::MaskBlur`) and the comp's Samples Per Frame
(four in Draft) instead of a fixed eight.
- Effects that read the shutter (`EffectEnv::shutter`) get it only when the layer is motion
blurred in this render.
- Advanced 3D layers follow the precomp layers' Motion Blur switches too.
- The layer cache key of a layer with masks or effects includes whether it is blurred and the
comp's shutter and samples, so a buffer blurred for the viewer is never reused by a render
with motion blur off.

Shapes (SHP-2): Stroke Taper (pixels/percent start/end length, width, ease) and
Wave (amount, pixels/cycles, wavelength, phase) rendered as a variable-width
outline; Dash 2/Gap 2/Dash 3/Gap 3 (shape.dashes.add/remove, timeline +/-
buttons); radial gradient Highlight Length/Angle as a focal gradient.
Masks (MSK-1): mask feather points on the Mask Path (mask.featherPoint.*,
Mask Feather tool add/drag), per-point signed radius and tension, rendered
from the signed distance to the path; carried through vertex edits.
Motion blur (LYR-10): Adaptive Sample Limit comp setting; 2D layers take one
sample per pixel of shutter travel between Samples Per Frame and the limit.

8/16 bpc no longer re-quantises the whole comp after every layer: 2D layers
report the canvas region they can change (transformed buffer bounds plus the
resampling margin; stencil modes, motion blur, perspective, styles,
adjustment and 3D runs fall back to the full canvas), and only that region
is quantised. A quantised buffer placed pixel-exactly (integer translation,
Normal, 100%) over a blank canvas needs nothing; invisible layers need
nothing; collapsed precomps quantise per nested layer. The redundant final
comp pass is skipped unless the comp is re-encoded. Solids are filled with a
pre-quantised colour and skip the source pass unless masked. Row-parallel
vectorisable kernel. Debug builds verify every pixel outside the region is
already quantised (whole workspace test suite run with 8 bpc forced: no
violations).
