fanning_out_reads_stop_at_a_budget expects the run-count error, but under heavy load
the 5 s wall-clock budget could fire first (different error). Add a test-only
per-thread time limit and lift it in that test. Wall-clock assertions in the other
new tests are now only generous hang guards (>=10x), the fuzzer's hang deadline is
24x MAX_TIME and the perf bound is 10x looser.

At 200 % in a 1600x1000 window, Previous / Next / Cancel / OK were cut
off. Settings sized its pages from the window height less a fixed 170,
and the shared modal put everything, buttons included, in one more
scroll area, so a footer that didn't fit scrolled out of the dialog.
The modal helper gets a modal_fit variant without that scroll area: it
hands its body the height left under the title. Settings lays out its
buttons first, from the bottom up, and gives the page list and the page
what they leave; both scroll on their own and the buttons stay put. The
pages are a clipped child, so a wide page can't widen the dialog under
the buttons. Other dialogs keep modal as it was.
Tests: settings_buttons_stay_in_view_at_200_percent opens Settings at
200 % in 1600x1000 and checks that each button is inside the window and
painted unclipped (fails before this change: the scroll area clipped
them at the bottom). It scrolls the page to UI Scale without moving
them, then types 150 and clicks Cancel (200 % again, nothing saved) and
OK (150 % saved). The UI Scale test no longer needs a larger window and
clicks Cancel at 200 %.
Previous / Next Frame also answer to Cmd+Left / Cmd+Right Arrow, and Back / Forward
10 Frames to Cmd+Shift+Left / Right, next to the Page keys (After Effects' second
default keys). A command spec can now list several default shortcuts
(`alt_shortcuts`, `cmd!(…, ["PageDown", "Cmd+ArrowRight"], …)`); menus and tooltips
keep showing the first.

Port of storytold/photocraft#2445. Each theme in the appearance picker gets a
star at the right edge of its row. Starred themes are saved with the
preferences and listed in a right-click menu on the header's appearance button,
next to Appearance Settings, so switching between favorites takes one click.
- The Layer panel keeps its own magnification and pan (`ui.layer_zoom`,
`ui.layer_pan`) with the Composition panel's magnification menu in its
footer; the wheel / pinch zooms around the pointer, the Hand tool,
Space-drag and a middle-drag pan, and the Zoom tool clicks zoom in
(Alt: out). Navigation never paints or makes Roto Brush strokes.
- View > Zoom In / Zoom Out / Fit / Actual Size act on the Layer panel
while it is focused, else on the Composition viewer as before.
- A Roto Brush click or drag in the Composition panel says the brush
works in the Layer panel; double-clicking a layer there with a Roto
Brush tool opens it in the Layer panel (as After Effects).
- Opening another layer resets the Layer panel to Fit.
Tests: crates/ui-egui/tests/ui_layer_panel_zoom.rs.

Problem: expression text is input we don't control, and nothing fuzzed the
expression parser and evaluator. A seeded mutation fuzzer found stack
overflows (a few hundred `?:`/`=>`/`if`, a few thousand `.`/`<`/`()` links,
75 nested template substitutions or regex groups, a chain inside one
template), hangs (an expression reading its own layer's transform nested
2^16 times; fanning-out reads; 10M-iteration loops re-run per read; loops
calling looping functions), an i64 overflow panic in wiggle noise, and NaN
path vertices tripping the rasterizer's clipping assertion.
Fix: a dependency-free seeded fuzzer (crates/expr/src/tests/fuzz.rs: real
AE-style seeds, char/token mutations, worker thread with a 2 MiB stack,
catch_unwind, deadline, env vars for long runs); a weighted nesting
estimate covering chains without brackets and template/regex insides;
cycle detection per (property, time, text); a per-evaluation budget of
20 000 script runs and 5 s (runs are interrupted through boa's budgeted
evaluation; native only); loop limit 1M; wrapping noise lattice indices;
non-finite path results rejected. Each fix has a regression test.

A movie shot with a phone held upright stores sideways frames and says so
in its video track header; it imported lying on its side. Probing now
reports the turned size, and decoded frames (full and reduced size) are
turned to match. Only the rotation is used, snapped to a quarter turn;
mirroring, scaling and offsets in the header are ignored.

The picker marked every pass it drew, including the one it closed in, so
for one pass after closing the dialog Escape handler still stepped aside
and a quick second Escape did nothing. The mark is now set only while the
picker stays open and cleared in the pass it closes (OK, Cancel, Escape or
a click outside); the picker also consumes the Escape it handles.
Test: the_escape_after_the_picker_closes_cancels_the_editor presses Escape
to close the picker and again in the very next pass, with no settling
frames: the editor cancels. It fails on the previous marking.
A photo taken with the camera held sideways (or a mirrored scan) imported
as stored, lying on its side. Probing now reports the size the picture is
seen at, and the still and smart-object decodes apply the rotation or
mirroring to the pixels. A missing or invalid tag decodes as stored.

Problem: probe() and MediaPool's movie sources called std::fs::read and then
filmcraft_codecs::open_bytes, so a clip cost its full size in memory, twice
while probing (a 245 MiB MP4 peaked at 494 MiB just to import).
Fix: container footage on disk is opened through a positional-read
ByteReader (stream::FileReader) and FilmCraft's reader openers
(filmcraft_media::reader::open_reader; MP4/MOV, Matroska/WebM, MXF, Ogg,
MPEG-PS/TS), which read the index and then single samples. Probing takes this
path only when nothing probed before containers (still/model extensions,
PSD/SVG/PDF, image magic) claims the file; everything else, whole-file audio
formats, in-memory files (add_bytes) and wasm32 builds keep the byte path.
Regression test: probing and decoding a frame and audio of a movie with a
256 MiB tail grows peak RSS by <64 MiB (512 MiB before), same results.

Problem: while a preview played, the RAM preview cache evicted the least
recently used frame. The frames just ahead of the playhead had been rendered
(prefetched) before the frames just shown, so once the cache was full they
were evicted first; prefetch asked for them again, but its queue ran in
request order, so they waited behind every frame further ahead. Playback
ran into a gap right ahead of the playhead while frames far ahead stayed
green, re-rendered the same frames over and over (about four renders per
frame shown when the preview was longer than the cache) and stalled for
seconds. The prefetch window could also reach further ahead than the cache
holds.
Fix: the playing preview tells Frames where it is (Frames::set_playhead).
Evictions then take frames the preview does not reach first (other series,
behind it without looping), least recently used first, then the frame it
reaches last; prefetch renders the frame it reaches first; queued prefetch
frames it no longer reaches are dropped (and leave the in-flight set). The
prefetch window stops at what the cache holds. The viewer puts a CPU frame
that needs no averaging on screen without copying its pixels.

Problem: comp.new/comp.settings clamp sizes to 30,000 px, frame rates to
0.001-1000 fps and motion-blur samples to 2-64, but reading a project
(.ecproj and .ecprojx, templates, recovery, offload) accepted any value:
a 4-billion-px comp, solid or footage frame, a 0 or 10^18 fps rate
(zero-length frames), a negative duration or 4 billion blur samples all
reached the renderer. New Solid, Layer Settings, Import Solid/Placeholder,
Crop Comp and PSD import set sizes without the upper bound, and comp
sizes past 2^32 wrapped.
Fix: one set of limits in effectcraft_project::limits. Project::from_json
brings every item (and proxy) within them; from_json_repaired also says
what it changed, which file.open returns as `repaired` and shows in a
toast, so the project still opens. Project::add_item applies the same
limits to every new item, and the size-setting commands clamp with the
shared helpers.

Problem: floating panels lived inside the main window only, so on a
two-screen setup no panel could go onto the second monitor (#486).
Fix: panel menu > Move Panel to New Window (and the agent/control command
`window.panelWindow {panel, window?}`) undocks the panel if needed and shows
its floating group in a native egui viewport the user can drag to any screen;
Move Panel to Main Window or closing the window brings it back. The window's
place and size are kept in the workspace (sanitised against hostile values)
and restored on the next start. Browser and test builds, which embed
viewports, show it as an in-app window.

Problem: nothing fuzzed project files. The hand-written .ecprojx XML reader
recursed once per nested <arr>/<obj> with no limit, so a deeply nested file
overflowed the stack and aborted the app instead of failing to open.
Fix: a dependency-free, deterministic, seeded mutation fuzzer for File > Open
(JSON and XML seeds from the demo, byte and JSON-structure mutations, the real
file.open path, first queries and a thumbnail render; each input under
catch_unwind with a deadline; bounded for cargo test, longer runs via env
vars). The XML reader now stops at the JSON reader's 128-level limit, with a
regression test.

Problem: scrubbing a long movie showed the frame under the pointer
seconds after the pointer stopped. Every viewer frame a free frame-pool
thread had started kept running: each seeked the movie's one decoder and
decoded up to a GOP, and the newest frame waited behind all of them on
the decoder's lock (45 min 1080p H.264/HEVC, GOP 250: 1.8-3.6 s for the
last frame of a drag; a single jump is 0.1-0.4 s). FilmCraft's decoder
already polls a cancellation flag, but nothing set one.
Fix: FootageSource::cancellable / called_off and CancellableFootage (a
per-render view whose frame reads run under the render's own flag, so
reads on other threads answer to the right render). MediaPool runs them
under filmcraft_media::cancel::with_cancel. The frame workers render
through it, and a newer viewer frame calls off the comp's running viewer
frames of other times. A called-off render is not cached (frames, disk,
layer cache). Drag latency is now 0.1-0.3 s.

A mouse click gives a Project row no keyboard focus, and the arrow keys
only move keyboard focus when a row already had it, so Delete /
Backspace, Cmd+D and Enter keep working for mouse users, also after an
arrow key moved the selection. Pin that down with a headless test.

Problem: app.scheduleTask(code, delay, true) queued the task and then
skipped it (eval_with_tasks: `if repeat { continue; }`), so repeating
tasks - what ScriptUI panels use for polling and refreshing - never ran.
One-shot tasks scheduled by handlers or in the Script Console never ran
either.
Fix: tasks live per script context (crates/script/src/tasks.rs) with a
due time. Frontends run the due ones every frame through the new
ScriptUi::run_tasks hook (the egui app does; agents and headless hosts
use the `script.runTasks` command). Script-host threads get a Tick
message, inline hosts (Script Console, web) run in their kept context.
A repeating task runs every `delay` ms until app.cancelTask, until it
throws (reported once, then cancelled), or until its owner goes: the
script's last window closing, or - for scripts without windows and the
console - the project being closed or replaced (ScriptUi::project_epoch).
Bounds: at least 50 ms between runs, at most 64 pending tasks per
script, one run per pass (no catch-up bursts), task code nested too
deeply is refused, the engine's loop and recursion limits apply. Ticks
only reach the hosts of the session that scheduled them.
