Problem: comp.new/comp.settings clamp sizes to 30,000 px, frame rates to
0.001-1000 fps and motion-blur samples to 2-64, but reading a project
(.ecproj and .ecprojx, templates, recovery, offload) accepted any value:
a 4-billion-px comp, solid or footage frame, a 0 or 10^18 fps rate
(zero-length frames), a negative duration or 4 billion blur samples all
reached the renderer. New Solid, Layer Settings, Import Solid/Placeholder,
Crop Comp and PSD import set sizes without the upper bound, and comp
sizes past 2^32 wrapped.
Fix: one set of limits in effectcraft_project::limits. Project::from_json
brings every item (and proxy) within them; from_json_repaired also says
what it changed, which file.open returns as `repaired` and shows in a
toast, so the project still opens. Project::add_item applies the same
limits to every new item, and the size-setting commands clamp with the
shared helpers.

Those edits offset the combined Position property, which a separated layer does not render. X and Y Position, including their keys, now move by the same amount.
Setting the start past the current end, or shortening the composition, stored an inverted interval. Trimming that interval then saved a negative duration.
Their params docs wrote the renderer as `renderer? classic3D|advanced3D`.
Without a `:`, the doc parser reads `|` as "or another key", so
`advanced3D` became an accepted key in the schemas and the unknown-key
check: `comp.new {"advanced3D": true}` succeeded and made a Classic 3D
comp.
The docs now use the value-list form the other commands use,
`renderer?: classic3D|advanced3D`. The key is removed rather than
implemented: it would only duplicate `renderer` (and could contradict
it). A scan of every command's schema found no other key that came from
a value list.
Test: renderer_values_are_not_parameter_keys (not in the schema, rejected
as unknown, `renderer` still works on both commands).

Composition Settings ▸ Advanced has both options (they were missing from the model, the
renderer and the dialog):
- Preserve frame rate: nested in another comp, the comp shows only its own frames
(`EvalCtx::nested_time` floors the precomp layer's source time to the nested comp's frame
rate; used for the nested frame, its proxy, aux channels, collapsed transformations and the
viewer's internal wireframes), and the Render Queue renders it at its own rate whatever the
Frame Rate override (`RenderSettings::rate`).
- Preserve resolution: nested in a comp rendered at Half / Third / Quarter, it renders at full
size and the buffer's scale places it.
- `comp.settings {preserveFrameRate, preserveResolution}`, `comp.info` reports them, scripts
read and set `CompItem.preserveNestedFrameRate` / `preserveNestedResolution`, Pre-compose
copies them, and the dialog registers `dialog.comp.preserveFrameRate` /
`dialog.comp.preserveResolution`.

comp.new / comp.settings passed `frameRate` straight to
FrameRate::from_f64, so 0 (or anything below 0.0005) became a 0/1 rate
and the next frame-duration computation divided by zero, killing the
process (and an MCP session with its unsaved project); a negative rate
was accepted as-is. Scripts hit it via addComp(..., 0) or
comp.frameRate = 0. Return a parameter error like renderQueue.add's
frameRate check does.

Shapes (SHP-2): Stroke Taper (pixels/percent start/end length, width, ease) and
Wave (amount, pixels/cycles, wavelength, phase) rendered as a variable-width
outline; Dash 2/Gap 2/Dash 3/Gap 3 (shape.dashes.add/remove, timeline +/-
buttons); radial gradient Highlight Length/Angle as a focal gradient.
Masks (MSK-1): mask feather points on the Mask Path (mask.featherPoint.*,
Mask Feather tool add/drag), per-point signed radius and tension, rendered
from the signed distance to the path; carried through vertex edits.
Motion blur (LYR-10): Adaptive Sample Limit comp setting; 2D layers take one
sample per pixel of shutter travel between Samples Per Frame and the limit.

New crate effectcraft-model (L2): glTF 2.0 (.gltf/.glb, data URIs, external buffers and
images, PBR metallic-roughness with base/MR/normal/occlusion/emissive textures, node
hierarchy, skins, step/linear/cubic animations) and OBJ/MTL import, parametric primitives,
extruded/bevelled outline meshes and polygon triangulation with holes.
Project: FootageKind::Model, LayerSource::Model/Primitive, Layer::environment, Geometry and
Material Options builders, Environment light Source. Media probes and loads models
(FootageSource::model). Engine: layer.newModel, layer.new3dPrimitive/newPrimitive,
comp.renderer, layer.environment, material.set/reset/duplicateAssign/revealSource (stubs
replaced); File > Import and layer.addItem pick up models. Hand-written fixtures with
attribution sidecars.

A real Settings model in the engine (`engine::prefs`): serde, versioned, dotted keys
(`general.undoLevels`, `labels.3.name`), migration of older layouts, unknown keys kept,
persisted through a `ConfigStore` trait (platform config dir on the desktop; MemoryConfig
for tests; the web app can back it with localStorage).
- After Effects 2026 pages (General … Scripting & Expressions) as a schema shared by the
dialog, `prefs.pages` and docs/preferences.md (rows not wired yet are listed there and
kept in step by a test).
- Commands: prefs.get, prefs.set {key, value | values}, prefs.reset {page?}, prefs.open
{page?}, prefs.pages.
- Wired settings: undo levels, path point size, tool tips, layers at comp start / CTI,
default spatial interpolation linear, Home screen on launch, new project template,
rendering progress in Info, adaptive resolution limit, cache when idle, fast previews,
theme + UI brightness, label names/colours everywhere (Label menu, timeline, project,
render queue, viewer), label colour for handles, grid colour/spacing/subdivisions, guide
colour, safe margins, still footage duration, sequence fps, audio output device and
output mapping, layer / footage / preview cache budgets, default 3D renderer.
- Settings dialog: AE's left page list + right content, OK / Cancel (restores) / Previous /
Next, every widget with an automation id.

- Integrate main (render queue, timeline/keys, time remap, masks/pen, 3D, MCP/CLI).
- Menu tree now runs renderQueue.add, layer.enableTimeRemap, layer.timeReverse,
layer.freezeFrame/OnLastFrame, prop.separateDimensions, mask.setClosed,
layer.cameraSettings, view.3d.* / view.3d.last / view.reset3DView, main's
layer.autoOrient and keyframe velocity/interpolation/time-stretch dialogs;
matching stubs deleted (view.3d.default stays disabled).
- Keyframe clipboard is main's (keys.copy/paste); Paste Reversed Keyframes
reuses it. Animation-menu commands moved to commands/animation.rs.
- Main's spec menu paths/labels aligned with AE (Camera Settings under
Layer > Camera, "..." labels, Freeze On Last Frame).

- Comp durations (comp.new / comp.settings) are whole frames.
- layer.addItem start/out, layer.timing in/out/start/delta and time-stretch in/out snap to
the nearest comp frame; prop.addKey / prop.set with an explicit time key the nearest frame.
- The demo project builds every time on 29.97 fps frames (Lower Third in = frame 150 =
0:00:05:00, comp = 300 frames).
- Test: demo + commands stay frame-aligned.
