From 62cd2364d5457734ea6a54579b91aa0398fcb84e Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: dotCooCoo Date: Sat, 24 Oct 2026 17:58:34 -0700 Subject: [PATCH 1/2] Shapes: add the Wiggle Transform path operation, which wiggles paths and each Repeater copy A shape layer's Contents > Add menu had every After Effects path operation except Wiggle Transform. It is now a shape item (layer.addShapeItem kind wiggler, "ADBE Vector Filter - Wiggler" for scripts) with Wiggles/Second, Correlation, Temporal Phase, Spatial Phase, Random Seed and a Transform group whose Anchor Point, Position, Scale and Rotation set how far each transformation wiggles. The values come from the Wiggly selector's noise, with each Repeater copy as one unit: the copies of a Repeater above the operation, in its group or a nested one, wiggle independently as far as Correlation allows, and the copies of a Repeater below it wiggle the same way. A paint above it whose paths all move by one matrix moves its gradient and stroke scale with them. The layer cache keys a layer with a Wiggle Transform by time. --- ROADMAP.md | 5 + crates/engine/src/commands/layer.rs | 2 +- crates/engine/src/commands/paths.rs | 2 +- crates/project/src/build.rs | 16 ++ crates/render/src/cache.rs | 2 +- crates/render/src/shapes.rs | 95 ++++++++- crates/render/src/shapes/tests.rs | 196 ++++++++++++++++++ crates/script/src/matchnames.rs | 8 + crates/script/src/tests.rs | 25 +++ crates/ui-egui/src/panels/timeline.rs | 1 + crates/ui-egui/tests/it/ui_timeline_shapes.rs | 16 ++ 11 files changed, 362 insertions(+), 6 deletions(-) diff --git a/ROADMAP.md b/ROADMAP.md index f4c99d61f..0a7b8946b 100644 --- a/ROADMAP.md +++ b/ROADMAP.md @@ -117,6 +117,11 @@ Come tell us what matters most to you on [Discord](https://discord.gg/artcraft). ## Progress log +- 2026-10-24: Shape layers have the Wiggle Transform path operation (Contents ▸ Add, or + `layer.addShapeItem {kind: "wiggler"}`): it wiggles the anchor point, position, scale and + rotation of the paths above it by random amounts that change over time, up to the Transform + values it holds.
