Each document view (and each split pane) has thin, theme-coloured scrollbars on its right and bottom edges, outside the rulers and the view. They span the pasteboard: the thumb is the visible fraction, dragging it pans, clicking the track pages by one view, and they follow panning and zooming by any other means. Rotated views scroll in screen axes. With the Type tool editing text, Alt held at the press gives the Hand tool for that drag: the cursor turns into the hand, the drag pans, and the caret stays. Alt pressed after a text drag starts still copies the dropped text.
