print_pdf, shared by Export PDF, File › Print and Separations Preview, takes main's two
changes to the inline export pipeline: rasterize_layered runs only for PDF/A-2b (other
standards keep hidden placed-PDF layers as optional content), and the report gets
GRAPHIC_LAYER_RENDERING_WARNING when the source document has graphic layer visibility
overrides and the writer did not report it. The Separations Preview command matches
craft_prepress::Conversion with a fallback arm, since the enum is non-exhaustive at
craft-libs e3b9e239.
PDF/X and CMYK groups keep this branch's approach: krilla's serialize
settings (pdfx::print_settings) write the CMYK page and transparency
groups, the GTS_PDFX output intent and the PDF/X Info and XMP entries.
make_pdfx4 adds only the XMP dates, so main's title argument and its
output-intent, Info and pdfxid XMP edits are dropped, and both
cmyk_group_spaces calls after writer.finish() (Export PDF, Print
Booklet) stay removed. Main's new parts are kept: file_info_metadata
(also for Print Booklet, on top of the print settings), optional content
registration and layer errors, add_form_fields, and pdfx's fonts module.
Main's metadata panic test calls the two-argument make_pdfx4.
craft-libs and the krilla patch are pinned to storytold/craft-libs
e3b9e239; Cargo.lock is main's, relocked without updates.
The Angle field was greyed out with Use Global Light on. It now shows
the document's global light angle and changes it for every effect that
uses it, applied with the effects in one undo step.

* Paste: other apps' text goes into a text caret even after copying objects (#212)
* Paste: text that matches a copied frame still pastes; groups with text frames aren't anchored (#212)

Export PDF, File > Print and Separations Preview share one print
pipeline: print_pdf builds the print PDF of a set of pages (flattener,
rasterized layers and effects, PDF boxes, the writer, the blend space
outside print color), pdf_export adds Export PDF's view options for
file.exportPdf and file.print, and the preview separates print_pdf's
page per spread. Gradient stops on spot swatches resolve through the
same InkSet as fills (inks::spot_output). The hayro patches move to
craft-libs 8fbfea8 with craft-pdf, craft-prepress and krilla.
Each visible spread is exported in memory as Export PDF writes it (its
print settings, the document bleed) and separated with
craft_prepress::plates off the UI thread, at a resolution matched to the
zoom. The canvas draws all inks composited, one plate as film or the ink
limit over gray; Window > Output > Separations Preview lists the plates,
spot plates by name, with each ink's percentage under the pointer.
view.separations takes spot ink names and reports the plates, ui.inspect
shows the preview's sheets, and ink.separations gives coverage and the
areas over an ink limit to automation. The renderer's GCR separation view
is gone; its plate passes stay for the CMYK blend space.
Groups are pushed with Surface::push_group, so Knockout Group writes
/K true and Isolate Blending /I true, each on its own. File > Export PDF
no longer rasterizes knockout groups.

file.place, place.drop, placed media and Fixed Width text frame columns refuse a rect that overflows to infinity or NaN. Saving refuses a document with non-finite item geometry before writing anything, so a file that won't load is never written.
Conflicts:
- crates/doc/src/lib.rs: DocSettings keeps the ruler origin and zero point fields and adds new_object; both defaults kept.
- crates/engine/src/cmd/style.rs: object.color keeps the batch's colour-model description, adds the nothing-selected sentence and the has_doc enable rule.
- crates/ui-egui/src/toolbar.rs: kept both tests (stroke gradient undo, new-shape colours from the proxy).
- ROADMAP.md: progress-log line moved under "Newest first." in the log's format.
crates/engine/src/cmd/object.rs: next's side with 069fe47b's auto-size guard, plus the PR's object.fit locked-objects note and the bottom-on-the-last-baseline fit; the reapplied fit_text_frame_tests module dropped, its baseline assertion added to next's copy.
crates/tools/src/select.rs, crates/tools/src/tests.rs: keep next's side.
crates/ui-egui/src/canvas.rs: drop the reapplied duplicate of the handle double-click test.
ROADMAP.md: next's line with the locked-objects note; no second copy.
frame.create, story.setText, text.insert and the other commands that take
text kept U+000B as a character, drawn as a missing-glyph box. It is the
forced line break of Word and PowerPoint text (Chr(11), Shift+Enter), and
what people porting scripts try first, so text_param now reads it as
U+2028, the forced line break, next to the CR handling it already has.
script --help and docs/agents.md say so.
The height search stopped up to 0.011 pt short of it (a line is set within 0.01 pt), so a fitted
frame scaled up with its text came out overset. InDesign fits 70 pt Kanji_PA to 18.521 mm, its
ascent.

Conflicts and how each was resolved:
- crates/idml/src/import.rs: main's linked_assets and insert_asset kept; the
crop is read beside main's page (PDFAttribute as a child or a property), and
linked_assets is keyed by (path, page, PdfCrop) so two crops of one page are
two assets.
- crates/idml/src/export.rs: PDFAttribute with PageNumber, PDFCrop and
TransparentBackground is written for every placed PDF, replacing main's
page > 0 block.
- crates/idml/src/tests.rs: main's file plus the `$ID/` font tests.
- crates/engine/src/cmd/file.rs: main's exact PDF page size, place cursor and
add_asset kept; Crop to stores the choice on the asset (the graphic spans
the box), so the place cursor's frame crop box is gone.
- crates/engine/src/cmd/{book,interchange}.rs: main's confined and reporting
imports, with the PDF crops resolved after them.
- crates/engine/src/cmd/print.rs: main's print_with, exporting with the
measured PDF boxes.
- crates/engine/src/cmd/links.rs: main's text links plus pdfCrop.
- crates/engine/src/cmd/{datamerge/fill,mathexpr,media,table}.rs,
crates/format/src/lib.rs: main's add_asset with the asset defaults.
- crates/engine/src/cmd/package.rs, crates/engine/src/tests_idml.rs: both
sides' tests.
- crates/fonts/src/fontdb.rs: main's style traits, looked up through
plain_family.
- crates/render/src/lib.rs: pdf_crop_box replaces pdf_page_box; main's
UserUnit test checks pdf_crop_box.
- crates/ui-egui/src/dialogs.rs: main's dialog with the content-bounds crops.
Also: Asset::same_file compares the PDF crop, so placing or saving no longer
merges two crops of one page; Asset literals added on main take the defaults;
main's PageNumber test checks the crop and that page 1 is written; new tests
a_pdf_page_placed_with_two_crops_imports_as_two_assets and
pdf_assets_with_different_crops_stay_apart.
A Flex Layout container is a frame holding its objects as nested items
(as Edit › Paste Into makes), with a `flex` record: direction, wrap,
justification, cross-axis alignment, Fixed/Auto width and height, padding
and horizontal/vertical spacing. designcraft_doc::flex lays the objects
out (a Flexbox subset: lines, justification, alignment, Auto sizing), and
the engine runs it after every edit, so the container keeps its objects
in place whatever changes.
Commands: flex.add (Add to Flex Layout; detects aligned objects: their
direction, Auto size, Space Between at their own spacing, as InDesign
does), flex.convert (a group or rectangle frame), flex.remove (objects
stay, grouped), flex.set (every panel setting, plus the alignment grid
cell), flex.reorder. Resizing a container by its handles or W/H changes
its box and makes that side Fixed instead of scaling its objects;
dragging an object inside one drops it in the nearest place.
UI: Object › Flex Layout (Add to, Convert to, Remove, Show Flex Controls),
a Flex Layout panel (Window › Panels) laid out as InDesign's (Create Flex
Layout; alignment grid, W/H with Auto/Fixed; justification menu, four
directions, wrap; padding with the link button; spacing, greyed as
InDesign does when the justification works it out or nothing wraps), and
the same section in Properties. Icons are new drawings.

Command descriptions left the new-text hyphenation default and image fitting outcomes implicit. State the default and each fitting mode's semantics, and add an MCP example that disables hyphenation. No behavior changes.
