crates/idml/src/lib.rs: crate doc keeps the branch's feather list and adds liquid guides.
crates/idml/src/tests.rs: keep all test modules from both sides.
docs/file-format-parity.md: keep both change-log rows; status line names both changes.
ROADMAP.md: drop the blank line the union merge left inside the progress log, and a stray one further down.
Keep GuideType=Liquid on document and parent pages, with literal XML and
mixed-guide regression coverage. Leave object liquid constraints separate.

.indd and .indt documents open through File › Open, drop, the web inbox,
file.open, file.openBytes, file.openIdml and the CLI. The engine converts
them to IDML in memory with storytold/indd-utils (pinned by rev, MIT OR
Apache-2.0, no dependencies, builds for wasm) and imports the result
through the existing IDML path. The converter's warnings come first in the
open result's `warnings`, before the IDML importer's and the font
warnings. A file the converter can't read is an open error, shown in the
Can't Open the File alert.
Routing: a path or name ending in .indd/.indt, or bytes starting with the
INDD signature (the web inbox passes the name without its extension).
opens_as_document and the desktop and web Open dialogs list indd/indt.
Tests use synthetic bytes only: signature-bearing junk, a zero-filled
.indd and a short .indt all fail as open errors with no document added;
a dropped unreadable .indd raises the open alert.

Keep small and high-precision numbers intact in table placement and data merge. Honor cached formula strings as text, including leading zeros and whitespace.

Placed rasters are converted to display sRGB once, at decode time, in one
module (designcraft-images colour):
- embedded ICC profiles in JPEG, PNG, TIFF, WebP and PSD (RGB and grey) are
applied; sRGB-like profiles leave the pixels exactly as decoded
- CMYK JPEGs (incl. YCCK, Adobe-inverted values), CMYK TIFFs and CMYK PSD
composites go through their embedded CMYK profile, else the working CMYK
space, with the colour settings' intent and black-point compensation
- oversized (> 16 MiB), unreadable or mismatched profiles are ignored with a
log line
The render image cache is rebuilt when the colour settings change. PDF/A
exports of CMYK TIFFs get the same managed RGB as the screen.
Paragraphs with w:numPr, directly or through their paragraph style, become
bullet or numbered paragraphs: Word's number formats, label text, start
numbers and overrides, level restarts, the text after the label and the
level's indents. Parent levels in a label are written as text. Unreadable or
hostile list definitions leave plain paragraphs.
Conflict: crates/engine/src/cmd/print.rs: the PR's print_with/craft_print::submit; print_with and the test's expected bytes export through next's interchange::with_pdf_boxes
Conflict: Cargo.lock: next's lock plus only craft-print (the auto-merge had moved windows-sys back to 0.59/0.60 for several crates)
Conflict: Cargo.toml: craft-print entry moved beside craft-ui with a comment
Conflict: ROADMAP.md: status Change texts combined; both progress-log lines (the PR's 2026-10-11 line under the 2026-10-12 ones)
Conflict: docs/gaps.md: status Change texts combined
Conflict: docs/hardware-parity.md: status Change texts combined
Rotate Spread is the rotation part of the Spread element's ItemTransform.
Import maps the three quarter-turn matrices to view_rotation on the spread's
first page and treats anything else as no rotation; pages and items keep
their unrotated spread coordinates. Export writes the rotation part for
document spreads; parent spreads stay identity.
