Every colour menu ends with Eyedropper. Choosing it closes the menu; the pointer is a crosshair over the slide with the colour under it and its hex beside it, a click takes the colour (slide.colorAt) and Esc, a right click or a click off the slide cancels. The colour comes back through the menu that asked, which opens for a frame and returns it as if its swatch had been clicked, so Shape Fill, Shape Outline, Font Color, the Format pane and the other callers all apply it their own way without changes.
