PowerPoint does not resolve neutral characters with plain UAX #9: the language of each run (a:rPr/@lang) decides. Measured with every space highlighted in its own colour: - in a run of a left-to-right language (or none) punctuation and digits are left to right and a space takes the direction of the character before it, so "abc HE1 HE2 def" shows the space after the Hebrew words on their left, and an English sentence in an RTL paragraph keeps its full stop at its end; - in a Hebrew/Arabic run, neutrals between text of one direction take it, all others are right to left, and digits are a number in the right-to-left text unless left-to-right text precedes. Paragraphs with explicit embeddings keep the full algorithm. Bidi probe deck: mean diff 11.1 -> 10.0 on the four mixed-direction slides; corpus poi 6.660 -> 6.654, others unchanged.
